3. Using Nod
You may use Nod only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to Nod;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
- introduce malicious software or code;
- make automated or abusive submissions;
- impersonate another person;
- deliberately submit false or misleading feedback;
- manipulate feedback, ratings or reviews;
- harass, threaten or unlawfully target another person; or
- otherwise misuse the Service.
4. Feedback you submit
Feedback should be honest and based on your genuine experience.
You are responsible for the content you submit.
You must not knowingly submit content that is:
- unlawful;
- deliberately false;
- threatening;
- discriminatory;
- obscene;
- defamatory; or
- information you do not have the right to disclose.
By submitting feedback, you allow the participating business and Nod to process that feedback for the purposes described in the relevant privacy information and to operate the Service.
5. Optional contact details
Some Nod feedback experiences may allow you to ask the participating business to contact you.
Providing your name, email address or telephone number is optional unless clearly stated otherwise.
If you request contact, the details you provide may be shared with the participating business so that it can respond to your feedback or concern.
6. Third-party review platforms
Nod may provide links to third-party review platforms, including Google.
These services are independent of Nod and operate under their own terms, policies, moderation processes and privacy practices.
Nod is not Google and is not endorsed or sponsored by Google.
Nod does not control whether a third-party platform:
- accepts a review;
- publishes a review;
- removes a review;
- displays a review;
- changes a rating; or
- determines how a business appears or ranks.
Nod does not guarantee any review, rating, ranking, search position or other outcome.
7. Review integrity
Nod is intended to support genuine customer feedback.
Nod must not be used to:
- create or procure fake reviews;
- impersonate customers;
- require particular review content;
- offer prohibited incentives for positive reviews;
- manipulate ratings; or
- otherwise misuse a third-party review platform.
Any public review functionality is subject to the then-current rules and policies of the relevant third-party platform.
8. Rewards and promotions
Participating businesses may occasionally offer rewards, vouchers, promotions or other benefits in connection with customer engagement through Nod.
Additional terms may apply to those promotions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, offers made by a participating business are provided by that business rather than Nod.
Rewards must not be made conditional on providing a positive public review or particular rating where doing so would breach applicable law or the rules of the relevant review platform.
9. Intellectual property
The Nod name, software, website, customer experiences, designs, graphics, templates and other Nod materials belong to Nod or its licensors.
They may not be copied, reproduced, reverse engineered or commercially exploited without permission, except where permitted by law.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service but cannot guarantee that Nod will always be uninterrupted, available or error-free.
We may modify, suspend or withdraw functionality where reasonably necessary for:
- maintenance;
- security;
- legal or regulatory requirements;
- third-party platform requirements; or
- development and improvement of the Service.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nod is not responsible for the actions of participating businesses or third-party review platforms.
Nod does not guarantee business outcomes arising from customer feedback, public reviews, ratings or AI-assisted analysis.
Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights that you may have under applicable law.
12. Privacy and cookies
Our handling of personal information is explained in the Nod Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Customer Feedback Privacy Notice.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in the Cookie Policy.
13. Governing law
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any mandatory rights you may have concerning jurisdiction remain unaffected.
